An ideal correction fluid will consist of many tiny particles that smoothen out during application. One that is of inferior quality will form globules that are difficult to write on.
Make sure the correction fluid you choose is one with finer particle size, quick drying and also smooth to apply.
Adjust the viscosity of your correction fluid with a diluter, generally provided with it.
