Mr. D. P. Dandekar - Founder

Camlin was started by Mr. D. P. Dandekar in 1931. Mr. Dandekar (against the backdrop of the freedom movement in India) decided to provide an Indian option to British and other foreign inks to the consumers in India. Thus was born Dandekar & Company, in Mr. Dandekar’s living quarters in Mumbai.

Mr. Dilip Dandekar is raring to take the company to new heights in the 21st century.

Dilip Dandekar - Chairman & Managing Director

Mr. Dilip Dandekar is Chairman and Managing Director of Camlin Limited, Mumbai. He is also Director of various other prestigious companies such as Indo Schottle Auto Parts Pvt. Ltd., Nilmac Packaging Industries Limited and Camlin International Limited.

He is a member of the executive committee of the Federation of Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, on the managing committee of the Indian Merchants’ Chamber and on the governing board of Bombay First and the ICFAI Business School.

Shriram S. Dandekar - Executive Director

Mr. Shriram Dandekar finished his M.B.A., , after which he took a position of Executive Director in Camlin Limited. He is also Chairman of Camlin International Limited, as well as Director of other companies engaged in various activities such as Real Estate Development. Mr. Dandekar has travelled to more than 27 countries in the world for business development.

Apart from all his professional commitments, Mr. Dandekar is also one of the founder trustees of ‘Nanasaheb Dandekar Public Charitable Trust’, which helps the poor and needy for educational and medical purposes. His personal interests include music, cricket and travelling.
